Madam principal as a resource person for Social
Studies conducted by Vivekananda Educational Trust |
FOR EDUCATORS: An experiment being done at the teachers' enrichment programme orgonised at Smt. Krishna Moolchand Maheswari Vivekanada Vidyalaya, Thiruninravur.

A teachers' enrichment programme was orgonised by Vivekananda Educational Trust,at Smt. Krishna Moolchand Maheswari Vivekananda Vidyalaya,Thiruninravur,on May 1 and 2.As part of its Teachers Enrichment Programme,to keep abreast with the latest in the field,subject-wise workshop for teachers of the trust was organised.Subject such as mathmetics,science and social studies was discussed in detail by teachers.
On the whole the programme stressed the concepts like integrated teaching,celebarating teaching and redefined the concepts of teaching-learning.
One of the resource person for the workshop,Ushabaskaran, former principal,AVM School,and author of books in geography,stressed the importance of geography as career option for children.
T.Vijayalakshmi,principal,Sita Devi Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya,East Thanbaram,highlighted on information a child-must know,should know,nice to know.
Joint Director,Dr.Soundaraja Perumal,Senior Scientific Assistant,Durairaj Nagamuthu.all from Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre,addressed the teachers on the topics Astrophysics,Pressure,Force and demonstrated how simple ideas can be used for explanning fundamendal phenomenon and kindle the scientific temper in the children.
Atmaraman,former director,Vivekananda Institute of Educational Research and Training,Sadagopan Rajesh, Mathematics Consultant,were the resource persons for mathmatics.
Vivekanada Educational Trust is a non-profit service organisation. which runs five Matriculation schools in Triruninravur,Minjur,Manali,Mudichur and Vallur.
