20 YEARS OF SITADEVI GARODIA HINDU VIDYALAYA

Years back I saw a classic picture “ Sankara Bharanam”. A curious boy asks his mother how to identify the house of Sankara Sastry. The mother tells him “As you enter the house, in every step you will hear Sa – Ri – Ga – Ma – Pa – Da- Ni – Sa”.

Similarily there is a Temple in East Tambaram – as you go near the gate you will hear “ Vande Matharam” . At the next step one hears “Sare Jahan se Achcha” . A step further “ Parukulle Nalla Nadu” thrills you. Go further - you hear and enjoy “ Chandanam Engal Nattin Puluthi- Gramam anaithum Thava Bhoomi – Sirumiarellam Deviyin Vadivam – Siruvar anaivarum Ramane”.

Then the melodious song “ Vandeham Saradam Visharadam” falls on your ears. This is followed by the song “Lava – Kusa - Dhruva – Prahlada bane hum” sung by children in chorus.

It is a temple of Mother Bharat. It is a temple of Goddess Bharathi. It is a centre of patriotism and a temple of learning called Sitadevi Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School with two decades of glorious history of excellent 100% results almost every year with State 1St rank. How many Doctors and how many Engineers, how many Professors and how many Chartered Accountants the school has produced! More than this the number of Patriots with uncompromising National pride is the real and proud achievement of this Nalanda of Nationalism, Pataliputra of Patriotism and Ayodhya of Culture.

All the District Collectors of Kancheepuram District, all the directors of the Education Department, MLAs and MPs of all political parties have been our Chief Guests. They all have admired and appreciated the school and love it for the service it renders to the poorest of the poor.

We assure the Parents and the Public at large that our effort of character building will continue in the years to come and your children will be safe on the lap of this “Samskriti Matha” the only school for our culture and heritage.

At the end, please permit me to salute all my dedicated band of Teachers and the exceptionally excellent Principal who made this school great.
