Thy name is NARAYAN RAO
Our Secretary
Dear Children,
We the teacher and you the children are fortunate to
be part and parcel of Sitadevi Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya,
A Temple of Temples and a real Temple
of Learning. The moment a person enters the campus,
he feels he is in Ayodhya. He experiences The Vibrations
and sees a Divine Light. This remains us of an episode
from Shri Ramanand Sagar's TV Serial, the Great Epic-
Ramayana. Rama and Lakshmana noticed a hut emanating
a bright light from inside and asked Rama what it was!
Rama coolly replied, "It is Maharishi Agasthya's
Hermitage (Ashram) and it is his Thapo Shakthi".
Is there a Maha-Rishi in Sitadevi school? Yes, certainly.
He is our Secretary Shri. K. Narayan Rao. What he did
for our school is nothing short of penance. His love,
affection, compassion and concern for all of us is simply
unparalleled. His spontaneous appreciation and admiration
for each and every small and big thing we do encourages
and inspires us.
An institution is an extended shadow of an individual.
This is applicable to the secretary of not one but three
schools, Shri K. Narayan Rao who lived on the lap of
Mother Nature in a large joint family amidst abundant
love and eons of caring and sharing at Machilipatnam
in Andhra Pradesh. Having learnt that "Accuracy
is the twin brother of Honesty ", he was an active
and dynamic student leader who placed Service before
self. He participated in the Quit India Movement at
the age of just 12.
He strongly believes that "We cannot prepare the
future for the youth but we can certainly prepare our
youth for the future". The outcome of his firm
conviction is that the three schools have emerged as
the "Hope of the Poor and the Pride of the Rich".
We, the teachers, still remember what he said when
he said when we came for the interview. "Sitadevi
Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya is a place where a woman is
honoured and a teacher is respected. When you enter
the campus, I see Goddess Saraswathi in you". Oh!
What a concept!
He is running the schools with a social commitment
and concern for the poorest of the poor. He is virtually
a God for all.
When he speaks about national pride, we see a Swami
Vivekananda in him and feel the electrical waves of
shock passing through our veins. When he showers his
affection, we experience a Kutrallam.
His devotion to Lord Rama is total and uncompromising
to such an extent that he cannot tolerate even a word
of criticism about "Maryada Purushothama Ramachandra".
His objective in life is to impart Value Education
coupled with Desha Bhakthi and Deiva Bhakthi.
A Man
Purer than fire
Deeper than ocean
Taller than Everest
More tolerant than Mother Earth
And unshakable like the Himalayas
Is our Secretary.
Then how is it that he is available to us and we see
him everyday amongst us? No surprise - no wonder simply
because we are his dear children and grandchildren.
The picture on the cover page showing the little kids
(Tiny Tots ) kissing and clinging to their "Thatha"
of a Secretary is a visual proof of it. We salute the
lady who stood by him like a rock, his ever-smiling
shadow, Smt. Vasundhara Narayan Rao, a mother to all
of us, who became one with him on the 16th of June 1961
and shared both his laurels and ordeals.
We are certain that our school will scale greater heights
in the realms of education under the stewardship of
this visionary, our beloved Secretary.
Our only prayer to God is to make us all "A Replica"
of this Giant of a man.
Long Live Our Secretary, to Love and to Lead us to
greater glory and from success to success.
With prayers to God Almighty, let us all join our hands
to make his dreams a reality.
Wishing You all success.
Yours Loving Teacher.
